Sunny's Festival Corner:
Hey Vanessa,
Vanessa:yeah Sunny.
Sunny:What do you call two best friends that love music festivals?
Vanessa:Hmm, I guess you'd call them Festies
Clark:music, festivals, friendship, festies
Clark:recording
Sunny:Recording yay,
Vanessa:we're live and we're alive
Sunny:live from new york.
Sunny:It's saturday
Clark:live this th th thursday.
Vanessa:It's thursday sorry, a nurse never knows what day it is
Clark:do I have patients to check?
Vanessa:if you ask me what days of the week I worked last week. I literally cannot tell you
Sunny:no idea
Vanessa:even if I thought about it really hard. Like I have to look at my calendar.
Sunny:You're busy. Okay, so we're just making small talk, but Vanessa has a big announcement.
Vanessa:We talked about it on the last one, but
Sunny:say it again
Vanessa:I'm engaged!
Clark:She's flaunting her fingers at us.
Vanessa:That has no ring on it because I forgot to wear it
Clark:Shut up.
Clark:Shut your mouth
Sunny:to wear it.
Vanessa:I was cleaning the house this morning I didn't want to
Sunny:start from the beginning
Clark:okay, so, so ed and I, met in
Vanessa:so I was born in 1993 um no, yeah, it was so cute.
Vanessa:I mean he hates that I say this, but I had a hunch because I did tell him that I wanted two things I wanted to be surprised and I wanted to be captured, either video or pictures, like somebody taking pictures or video whatever, but it's really hard to surprise me
Sunny:Pics or it didn't happen,
Vanessa:yeah, but I will say everyone involved did a very good job of not letting anything slip.
Vanessa:I didn't know for certain anything, it was literally just a hunch. It started with Sunny asking me to get my nails done, which, in her defense, it's not that weird. I get my nails done with her not all the time, but often, and the last time I got my nails done was with your mom, so she asked me to go get my nails done with her and her mom.
Sunny:Yeah.
Vanessa:The only thing that I found weird was I was like, oh, I'm going to be on a hike, so maybe not, and you were just like, well, we don't know where we're going, so just let us.
Vanessa:Like it was kind of like not aggressively, not letting me take no for an answer.
Vanessa:I wasn't taking no, you weren't taking no for an answer. Jesus christ, words are hard. Okay, um, but not aggressively. It was just kind of like they were very laxed about it. Anyways, I remember telling my co-worker because I was on a hike with my co-worker, and I remember being like is this weird? Or she was like, well, just in case, you should go, go, go go.
Sunny:Yeah, well, if you hadn't gotten your nails done with my mom recently, I don't think I would have done that
Vanessa:yeah.
Clark:She went through like three scenarios of how she could try and ask you without it seeming weird.
Vanessa:I know I bet.
Vanessa:And then she was like
Clark:she had ideas,
Vanessa:yeah.
Vanessa:She was like did you want to get your nails done for the following weekend following weekend? I'm like, well, if it was for the following weekend, I would have done that next week. I did end up getting my nails redone the following week for that weekend, but anyways, she told me that which I had a hunch. But I was like, nah, that's not really that weird and maybe it's kind of a stretch, whatever. That was on a Thursday.
Vanessa:Then Friday night Ed and I were just watching a movie and he mentioned how we're not gonna be able to celebrate my birthday because it's my birthday also just happened on the 31st, and we were at this combined bachelor and bachelorette party for Rj and Penny on that saturday it was my birthday. So he was like we're not gonna get to really celebrate your birthday, let's go on a picnic, just the two of us. But that also wasn't weird because the mother had been playing this long game where ever since the beginning of may, every sunday we'd go to the city and just explore. He bought us motorized scooters so we would take the train to the city and just like ride around the city in our scooters. So like that wasn't weird either and that was apparently his whole plan, which I didn't even put that together till a doctor at my hospital that I was telling him about it. They're like was he playing the long game doing that? I was like maybe, so then I asked him, he was like well, yeah, I didn't want it to be weird.
Vanessa:I was like, oh, oh, my god, okay. So we got to the city, we went and got sandwiches at deli
Clark:deli board
Vanessa:deli board.
Clark:Yes, yo, that spot's so good
Vanessa:yeah so we got sandwiches at deli board.
Vanessa:Then we drove to dolores and so he originally wanted to go to the Alamo Square where the Painted Ladies are, and because I had a hunch I was like let's go to Dolores instead. My favorite view in San Francisco is the skyline from Dolores Park
Sunny:You're like I don't want those Painted Ladies behind me.
Vanessa:Love the Painted Ladies. But my favorite favorite view is the skyline from Dolores. So I was like, let's go there instead he. He was like okay, but everything that I was throwing at him, okay, whatever.
Vanessa:Like so chill.
Vanessa:Like didn't let anything on, like didn't fight me on anything. I was like, should I wear a dress or comfy clothes? He was like do whatever you want.
Vanessa:He was like yeah, when you asked me that I was like I'm not falling for this. So we get to Dolores, we like plant our blankets down, we take a first bite of our sandwich. He's like let's take a picture with the view. So, like I stood up and he was like here, I'll take one of you with the view. Stand up and face the view. And then, once he said that, I was like oh my God, something's happening. Yeah, I tell him that and he's like oh you had like 3 seconds to figure it out?
Clark:Ruin the surprise.
Vanessa:Yes, and then he was like hey baby.
Vanessa:And I turn around and he's on one knee and he's like vanessa, will you marry me? It was so cute. And then I like bent down and hugged him and, oh, I did not put my hands over my mouth.
Sunny:No, I didn't know if you're gonna bring this up
Vanessa:Sunny and I forever, for years, will always send pictures of people getting engaged back and forth to each other and they have their hands over their mouth. It's like the classic reaction.
Sunny:I don't even know how this started.
Vanessa:I don't either, but we always would talk about it like are we going to do that when we get engaged? Are we going to think about it?
Sunny:I know, obviously, I don't want you to think about that.
Vanessa:I totally thought about it.
Vanessa:My hands were on my face, not over my mouth, but I think I was like holding the side of my cheeks,
Sunny:yeah,
Vanessa:and I was like, oh my God, my hands.
Sunny:I was with you during the moment. I'll take it.
Vanessa:yeah exactly.
Vanessa:S o then I gave him a hug and everybody around us was clapping it wasn't even a packed day. But I was like, are they all clapping for us? He's like yeah. Yeah, and then I go, is somebody taking pictures? He's like, yeah, your sisters are around here somewhere with their friend who's a photographer
Sunny:oh, that's funny.
Sunny:So you had no sense of them being around.
Vanessa:No, no I think I told myself don't be looking around, just in case. But in the moment I was kind of shocked because I think I blacked out Like I think I had convinced myself that it wasn't happening, because the night before I went to a concert with my sister and I was telling her and she was like, girl, don't get your hopes up, in case it doesn't happen. I was like maybe she knows it's happening some other time.
Vanessa:And she doesn't want me to get my hopes up. So I was like, okay, it's not happening. Then Ed was like there's people at the house waiting to celebrate which I don't know. If that was supposed to be a surprise,
Sunny:I don't know either
Vanessa:I think it was unclear.
Sunny:When you called me to tell me, I ignored it.
Sunny:Be cause we hadn't talked about if it was a surprise or not.
Vanessa:I think everybody was on the same page. Because everyone
Sunny:Because I was like sister, she texted me and said, okay, it happened.
Vanessa:You did call me back pretty quick.
Clark:I'm the happiest and saddest I've ever been in my entire life
Sunny:No No No. Well the thing was your sister she texted me and said ok it happened. And then I was like ok she should call me any second, and it was like 10 minutes and I was like this is way too long for her to call me - taking too long.
Vanessa:We had to call his parents they didn't even know it was happening. So we called his parents and then his sister, and then I called RJ and Penny. They weren't answering. I called you. You weren't answering. You guys were all at my house and I didn't know that. I wish that I knew what time people were getting there so we would have left right away. Then we could have spent more time with you guys, because a few of you had to leave really early. But yeah, it was really cute and then so then we had a little photo shoot in the city and at the park and then the pictures turned out really good.
Vanessa:They're on my instagram
Sunny:I was just gonna say that,
Clark:yeah, they're, they're awesome
Vanessa:yeah, I'm pretty happy with them.
Sunny:They're stunning
Vanessa:thanks and the ring. Oh my god, he did such a good job with the ring
Sunny:yeah, so cute, it's beautiful.
Vanessa:Thanks,
Sunny:how you feel?
Vanessa:It does feel different. I'm not gonna lie, you know people are like it's the same, feels the same. No, it definitely feels different. I feel like we've always kind of been in this honeymoon phase and then it like I feel like it was starting to. What's the word?
Vanessa:taper off in the last few months, but then it, like immediately went back to what it was before so, yeah,
Sunny:I had told called Clark.
Sunny:It was like two days before. I was like I feel like I should call her and ask to go out. And he was like why? I was like, because it's the last time, go somewhere stupid like the patio, which is like a place for college kids in Palo Alto that we used to go to
Vanessa:EPR on a Wednesday.
Sunny:The rave for 18-year-olds
Clark:we need to drink vodka out of a water bottle in the car.
Vanessa:Green apple Smirnoff .
Clark:Underneath the highway overpass.
Clark:One last time.
Sunny:But then I saw you were out with your sister and I was like oh damn it.
Vanessa:Oh yeah, we went to a concert.
Sunny:Well, we, we are so happy for you, we are elated.
Vanessa:Thanks, thanks, yeah, okay speaking of Coachella,
Sunny:I was gonna say in other news I went to Coachella, which is just as exciting. I mean, it's June, coachella was in April. So I'm really sorry. I'm really sorry that this episode is coming out so late.
Vanessa:Like we said, we've had a lot going on.
Sunny:Yeah, yeah, happy now to finally get to do our Coachella episode slash stagecoach episode. Where should I start?
Vanessa:I think you should start with how you decided you were going.
Sunny:Okay, how did I decided I was going. So if you've listened to past episodes, then you've heard me talk about how I really want to go to Coachella, because the headliners were Lady Gaga, green Day and Post Malone. And, sure enough, I ended up going. Shout out to my mom for helping us with the tickets
Vanessa:Real quick, we were watching. Lady Gaga from Floorchella, which was Sunny's mom's apartment. We were watching Lady Gaga's performance and Sunny and I were, like, at the end of it, looked at each other like are we free next weekend? Yeah, I like was looking at my work schedule to see what days I work, because, again, didn't remember and I was like am I free on Friday?
Sunny:Yeah, my cousin Josh and I who, Josh, is a huge Lady Gaga fan we were also texting and both of us ended up making it to Coachella the next weekend, so we willed it to happen
Vanessa:Something about Sunny.
Vanessa:Is she going to find a way? She will make it fucking happen If she wants to. She will make it fucking happen if she wants to, she will.
Sunny:I was pretty positive this wasn't gonna happen, but that live stream man just pulled me in.
Vanessa:So good.
Sunny:Yeah, they say the live stream has been bad for coachella because people have just been like, oh, I can just watch at home, like why do I need to go? But the opposite happened to me, where I was like I watched the live stream and I was like, dang, I need to go. Weekend two. So, yeah, we decided maybe Monday that we were going to go. We had two or three days to pack for it.
Sunny:A really good friend of ours stepped up and went with me. But this person is a little more private than we, are not on social media and stuff, and prefers to be unnamed. So we get to think of an alias. What should it be?
Vanessa:Jessica,
Sunny:jessica, good old Jessica. So a really good friend. Jessica stepped up and she went with me. Thankfully, clark and I have everything pretty organized for our camping festival stuff. So that was part of the reason why I thought we could pull this off is because everything is already organized. We left on Thursday, drove down there
Vanessa:Wednesday.
Sunny:We left on Wednesday, drove down there and let's see, first is always walmart to get stuff. So we did that, and then we hit the box office to get our tickets, since we got them, so last minute our wristbands were at the will call.
Sunny:So we had to do that step and then it was like yeah, let's go to coachella. And then I got in a car accident so I got in a car accident with my dad's car, which is like the worst
Vanessa:Damn double homicide.
Sunny:I know, yeah, I know, I know.
Sunny:I feel like it wouldn't have been that consuming for my mind if it was my car. You know, the whole time I was just like my dad's car.
Vanessa:Yeah.
Sunny:When I took it, I was like I'll bring it back to you, spotless, which I did it was very clean, we were okay.
Clark:Sorry.
Sunny:It's okay. So we were okay, but the front driver panel was all dented and stuff. It was just cosmetic.
Clark:And y'all were fine too.
Sunny:We were fine
Clark:, that was the main thing.
Sunny:After that. Then we got to go to Coachella. I feel like my excitement for it. The balloon got popped. So if I sound like I'm complaining about things, just remember that my whole weekend was colored with the car accident.
Clark:I felt a little guilty. Yeah, trying to have a good time.
Sunny:There's just this guilt cloud hanging over me the whole weekend.
Vanessa:You couldn't shake.
Sunny:Looking back on it, I should have just said fuck it and let that go for the next three days. Anyways, this experience I had at Coachella is my experience. It's not the Coachella experience, so don't take what I say and be like all right, I'm not going to go to Coachella, Because even after all this, I still think it's a festival worth going to and trying.
Vanessa:And it's what you make it. So I still think it's a festival worth going to and trying, and it's what you make it so.
Sunny:Yeah, we made it bad.
Clark:No, embrace the suck, embrace the suck, embrace the suck, as they would say.
Sunny:I wish I knew that ahead of time. So getting to set up luckily we were able to get the ADA, so we were close. It was actually the first time I went to a festival with just two people and so set up took and so setup took a long time. Us girls, I feel like we were kind of invigorated because we were like, yeah, we could do it. But at the same time I was like if clark were here, this would have taken half the time to do it.
Sunny:So there was that. But we got our campsite set up all nice and cute. I did fall off the hammock. Oh yeah, pro tip for a hammock, sit in the middle of it, not on the side. Yeah, I flipped the whole hammock. So after the car accident, after the hammock, I was like let's go to bed, which was good, because we were exhausted.
Vanessa:So you got in. On Thursday you drove down on. Wednesday, but you went in on Thursday,
Sunny:yeah.
Vanessa:Okay,
Sunny:we went to bed early like the old farts. We are like 9 pm.
Sunny:I want to say
Vanessa:oh my gosh, that's okay that you were like nice and rested and energized for friday
Sunny:yeah, all right, enough of that,
Vanessa:Dang. Was Missy Elliott as good as it was on TV?
Sunny:Yeah,
Vanessa:or better
Sunny:it was better.
Sunny:I was like do I have 3D glasses on?
Clark:That's sick.
Sunny:She had a whole alien space theme.
Sunny:She got dropped down to Earth in a spaceship.
Sunny:I hate to say it looked real. But it looked real.
Clark:Because it was,
Sunny:it was real, yeah.
Sunny:Just seeing those performances it was like oh yeah, this is why we're here, everything's okay. You know we made it. One of the highlights of the day was my cousin Josh also came.
Sunny:He's a huge Lady Gaga fan, so, being with him, the vibes were going
Vanessa:Now did you like seeing her performance on the live stream better, or being in person there to see, because I remember you said you were a little too far away for Lady Gaga.
Sunny:I think even if we were close for Lady Gaga, none of the stuff that we saw on the live stream would have came through, because there were a lot of aerial shots for the live stream, remember, and there was no way we could see.
Vanessa:It wasn't on the screen.
Sunny:No,
Vanessa:oh, weird
Sunny:the screen was like part of the set.
Vanessa:Oh,
Sunny:it wasn't always showing her on the screen, so I am glad that I saw that, because I feel like I was able to understand the artistry of the performance more.
Clark:You were able to see some of the scope because you saw the live stream that maybe when you're in the crowd you didn't get
Sunny:and I felt like I got to just sing the songs and like enjoy the time
Vanessa:you weren't like missing anything.
Vanessa:You just got to experience it differently. You got to like sing along, which we weren't doing when we saw it at your Moms.
Sunny:We weren't singing along, were we?
Clark:We were just flabbergasted.
Vanessa:No, we were just like jaws on the floor, like, oh my God,
Sunny:what
Sunny:is this.
Vanessa:But you got to like jump up and down, dance around, sing the songs. That's fun.
Vanessa:Yeah, I didn't think about getting to do that
Sunny:Because we had seen the live stream. We went to the Ferris wheel, like RJ and Penny did for Beyonce. The timing was perfect. The fireworks started when we were in the Ferris wheel. Jessica is afraid of heights, so she rallied again to go on the Ferris wheel. But yeah, we got great pictures from that and it was just so.
Sunny:It was so romantic.
Sunny:Another highlight I just want to say is Jessica making dinner. She made a jambalaya with hot dogs and chicken and veggies.
Clark:There's something about seeing someone cook it and then you eating it too. That's like.
Sunny:Yeah.
Clark:Like the food could be good from a stall too, but like the act of someone you know cooking it for you.
Sunny:Yeah, totally, even though it was like a box rice or whatever.
Sunny:It was like home-cooked food, you know
Clark:yeah for sure.
Sunny:My low of the day, if I must say one. Jessica and I were walking through the crowd and we stood somewhere. We noticed someone like kind of short behind us and we both happened to like turn and be like can you see ok? And he was like you could stand wherever you want, kind of like attitude. We were like okay. So that was the low of
Clark:boo boo, short king boo
Vanessa:short man's complex
Sunny:I don't know. It's still kind of a funny moment.
Sunny:We're just like all right okay we will stand here yeah, so that was friday, that was saturday saturday, saturday saturday okay, we saw prison affair, Ed Sheeran, charliexcx, enhypen, green Day and the original Misfits, but first we went to go walk around the campsites. We looked around the general store, bought some ice cream that was life-saving, we just took a gander. Is that the right word?
Vanessa:Yeah
Sunny:Yeah, took a gander.
Vanessa:Did you see people doing yoga?
Sunny:No, actually, but I did see that there were cold plunges and there was a line for it.
Vanessa:I want to do a cold plunge
Sunny:yeah, I felt like that was the only place I could do. It is coachella in the heat, otherwise a cold plunge makes me squirm. So ed sheeran actually was not on the original lineup. He got pushed in there when the schedule came out. Festivals have been doing this lately as a nice little surprise.
Vanessa:That's so cool though
Sunny:it is cool, but he was on one of the smaller tents and, like ed sheeran, could headline this festival.
Vanessa:Yeah that's dumb
Sunny:right like he's a big enough artist.
Clark:He sells out stadiums
Sunny:Right. Yeah so we got there.
Sunny:We got there early enough that we were under the tent, but the crowd got so thick, it was so far back that you couldn't even hear him anymore During the set. I started to feel kind of weird and I was like am I getting sick? No, I don't get sick, I'm fine. And then at a certain point I was like I'm getting sick and I ran to the port-a-potty and TMI but I did throw up in the port-a-potty and I think I was just sick from the heat, but that has never happened to me before. Like I feel like I can normally
Vanessa:it's part of getting old.
Sunny:No, I feel like I can normally handle my shit. It was just so hot so I just was like I need to listen to my body and I went back to the campsite, took a nap, took a shower, ate and felt way better after that. So womp, womp,
Vanessa:God.
Sunny:Yeah.
Sunny:That was kind of a bummer, but I did get to see Ed Sheeran do A-Team, which he does not play that song anymore,
Clark:yeah that's cool.
Vanessa:That was special, so he was on Call Her Daddy and they did a scenario that is literally like everyone must be living the same life experience, because it used to happen to me too. I used to have that song on my iPod so anytime, or my phone, anytime I connected to my car, that was the first fucking song that played and that was the whole bit in the video that they posted together. It's like every time she got in the car that was the first song that played.
Sunny:No go to Spotify.
Clark:Stuck In her daydream
Sunny:Best surprise of the day was in Enhypen a K-pop group. I didn't even know they were on the lineup, but we were just kind of standing around and we looked at the schedule and I was like, do you want to go see the K-pop group? Because Clark is a huge K-pop fan
Clark:Huge relative to you. I am not a huge K-pop fan.
Vanessa:Okay, well
Clark:I am not a huge k-pop fan.
Clark:I'm only saying that because I'm like
Sunny:a man.
Clark:Yeah, because I'm a man, no the real fans of k-pop groups are like,
Vanessa:they're like swifties
Clark:, they're literally well, they're like learning all the choreography to all the singles that this k-pop group is putting out
Vanessa:yeah, don't lie, I know you sit here in the middle of the night.
Clark:I would love to learn some of the choreography.
Clark:The choreography is sick. That's like the coolest part to me.
Sunny:We were at the club the other night and this girl was dancing and he said she's doing some K-pop dances. So I feel like
Clark:that's true,
Vanessa:gotcha.
Sunny:I feel like you still know it.
Clark:She was like doing moves from twice or something like one of the k-pop groups twice.
Sunny:Anyway, it's another k-pop group.
Vanessa:See, I can't even name one.
Vanessa:Oh wait, I can. Enhypen
Sunny:okay, anyways, their choreography was just so great. I took a video and sent it to vanessa.
Vanessa:And no, you were like because I was watching it from home and I was watching something else, you were like turn it on to this stage now.
Sunny:Oh yeah, yeah.
Vanessa:I was like holy shit
Sunny:she responded and said
Clark:same you told us
Clark:told uh yeah because I had, uh, our friends aaron and james over
Sunny:oh yeah, that's what was really fun
Sunny:Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you
Vanessa:he interrupted you.
Sunny:No, I interrupted you,
Clark:I interrupted you
Sunny:that's what was really fun about the weekend, too is, while I was at, coachella, vanessa and clark were at home watching the live stream, so we were kind of all in communication like go here, go there, turn this on.
Clark:Yeah, that was cool.
Sunny:So it was fun, that was such a nice surprise. Jessica's face, her face was just so like could not so happy, and so just like bewildered at just how big of a production it is. And then you know my low for the day obviously getting sick with Ed Sheeran. stepmom, Joan, because she gave me a fan, And I just want to thank my stepmom and that thing literally saved me. When I say literally, I mean literally because I wore it the whole weekend. Of course, green day was great.
Sunny:That's a given
Vanessa:yeah, they were good. I liked that. Uh, I watched theirs from home.
Sunny:Yeah after Lady Gaga was finished, I was just like is the rest of the weekend going to suck, because that was such a great performance. And then, when Green Day came out, I was kind of like Lady Gaga needs all these props and shit and like this band is just here rocking out and this is just as entertaining. I'm kidding, but like it was just kind of silly of me to think that.
Sunny:It's just such different performances. You know, all right, that was day two, day three. This is where it especially shows my age. I didn't go in until nighttime, guys.
Vanessa:Oh no,
Clark:yeah that's wild,
Clark:that's wild who are you?
Sunny:I packed early
Vanessa:That's not like you,
Sunny:I packed.
Vanessa:That's not like us
Sunny:I know the first artist I saw was Megan Thee Stallion.
Vanessa:What
Sunny:I know,
Vanessa:oh man.
Vanessa:I know it's okay, you weren't that prepared.
Sunny:That's right
Vanessa:you had three days to prepare.
Sunny:Yeah, I didn't train, you know,
Vanessa:yeah, we didn't train for this.
Sunny:I saw Megan Thee Stallion, I saw a little bit of Post Malone from afar, and then I stayed out late, with my, with my cousin Josh, so we were kind of just running around. Low of the night was we were watching Zedd Super respect for Zedd, but just the kind of EDM I don't like. So we were like let's go, this is.
Sunny:And then one of you texted me and said that Incubus was, that he brought out Incubus and they just played a set and I love Incubus
Clark:yeah that's rough.
Sunny:We were all sitting in a little powwow on the ground me and Josh and his friends and I was like, are you fucking serious? Like I was just so upset, but that's okay.
Clark:You're going to miss stuff. That's just going to happen.
Sunny:Because it was day three and I didn't go in the whole day. I was like I need to get content, so I was just running around by myself taking videos and yeah, that was pretty much my day three oh, I did see polo and pan.
Clark:Oh yeah, you saw a bit of their set
Sunny:for 10 minutes
Vanessa:Yeah who?
Vanessa:was your favorite on sunday?
Sunny:Polo and pan probably would have been my favorite if I was there. The whole set based off the 10 minutes I saw, and I guess I've talked about the food real quick. We did cook a lot at home, but this is what we got inside the festival. We had mac and cheese, cheeseburgers and watermelon an elote cup with hot cheetos, turkey sandwich, lemonade, which hit so hard, yerba mate and uh, quesabirria taco tacos. Everything was so good. My favorite was the cheeseburgers and watermelon. It just felt like my body needed that at the time.
Vanessa:Watermelon fresh watermelon it's so hot, oh, it's so cold, watermelon so good,
Sunny:and it was just such a basic burger
Vanessa:okay. I have a question for you.
Sunny:Yeah,
Vanessa:would you go back to Coachella?
Sunny:only if I was sponsored to go. I will say that I've experienced this a couple times now. Going to Coachella is the crowd just not the friendliest crowd, and not that anyone's mean or malicious or anything like that. It's like no one has any awareness of each other, no personal space, no crowd etiquette. But it's so funny because everybody complains about the crowd. So it's like if we're all complaining about the crowd,
Vanessa:we're all part of the problem.
Sunny:Yeah, like what
Clark:you know, that meme format and it's it's a comic drawing and it's spider-man and he's pointing at another spider-man, and they're all yeah, they're all pointing at those. That's what it is.
Clark:It's just the crowd
Sunny:so, yeah, the issues I had with coachella this year is not coachella's fault, it's from a lack of
Vanessa:planning.
Sunny:Yeah, it's from it's from not planning and not that long ago I listened to a podcast with the founders of Northern Nights and Same Same but Different, and Desert Days, and I can't remember who said it. But someone said the more you put in, the more you get out, and we put in so little. So that just resonated with me when I heard it because it was like, yeah, like we didn't have a good foundation to experience this so
Vanessa:no more last minute festivals
Sunny:no more last minute camping festivals
Vanessa:yeah,
Clark:yeah, I think the camping part
Clark:is the
Sunny:having said that, I still don't regret going
Sunny:that lady gaga performance was just once in a lifetime.
Clark:Yeah, that's awesome.
Sunny:So all righty, that's my Coachella summary,
Vanessa:sweet love it
Vanessa:okay.
Vanessa:Coachella weekend three, yeehaw edition, aka stagecoach. So after Sunny went to Coachella weekend two, I made my way to the desert for Stagecoach. Before we went to that desert, we went to Vegas. So we actually flew to Vegas Wednesday, spent a night in Vegas, met our friends there from Iowa and then we drove the next day from Vegas to Indio. I haven't been to Coachella or Stagecoach since 2019. So, like driving into Indio, I was like like so nostalgic the view of the mountains and the palm trees and I was like, ah, I remember this. It's been so long.
Vanessa:It was a cool feeling but we stayed in an airbnb. It was really nice. It was like for eight people there was only four of us
Sunny:nice
Vanessa:and it had a pool that we couldn't use because we didn't heat it, because it normally it's like 100 degrees that weekend
Sunny:yeah
Vanessa:and it was really cold and windy
Sunny:oh no
Vanessa:so we couldn't even use it.
Vanessa:I mean, we like got in a little bit, but it was like not fun. Yeah, so we didn't, we didn't use it too much, but it was okay. I guess I'll just jump right into friday.
Sunny:Let's jump right in
Vanessa:. We started the day with tucker wetmore, who to me sounds a lot like Morgan Wallen. There was a mutual friend of ours that reached out and was like how did you like him? Like I know he's gonna be headlining in like two years. I can see that because he sounds like Morgan Wallen. Not my favorite totally, but I mean Morgan Wallen's really successful, so maybe we'll see.
Sunny:We'll see
Vanessa:Tucker.
Vanessa:Wetmore in two years, maybe headlining. After that we were on our way to see Whiskey Myers and we ran into this tent that had a Yellowstone Y outside of it and I don't remember if I've talked about it on here before, but I love the show Yellowstone and all its prequels, 1883, 1923. 1923 was my favorite and we saw these people like lining up and we went in there and there was a 1923 poster on the wall and I was like what is happening?
Vanessa:and we asked this girl.
Vanessa:She was like oh, the cast of 1923 is coming out soon. I was like, really, where did it say this on on the schedule? Um, but yeah, so for those of you that watch, it was brendan sclent sclenner, the guy that plays spencer, michelle randolph and amina neve neves. They play elizabeth and tiana. Tiana, I'm so sorry I'm saying those wrong.
Sunny:Do you even watch the show?
Vanessa:I had like a little mini freakout moment because I was literally from like the same distance that I am from Sunny right now.
Vanessa:That's how close I was to Spencer which was really freaking cool, and then I took a picture of. It took like a creeper picture of him and you can see in his light tinted sunglasses that he's looking right at me, or right at my phone at least
Sunny:oh my gosh, what are the odds that you just walked into this?
Vanessa:I had no idea it was happening. I was so stoked. And then there was another character from 1883 that was just hanging out where we were chilling.
Clark:Were they doing like a fan meet and greet?
Vanessa:I guess, yeah, like a meet and greet.
Clark:That's so trippy.
Vanessa:I know I wish Kevin Costner was there.
Sunny:Yeah, right,
Vanessa:then Ed would have been excited. He was not excited, but he was just like sitting on the bench while I was like Spencer's right there. He was like I'm happy for you. So then we went and saw Whiskey Myers. They're so good. We saw them from the Rose Garden, which was not VIP, it was the Rhinestone Saloon Pass, which gives you access to like an area on the side of the main stage and on the side of the palomino stage, which I think is the gobi stage, maybe at coachella
Sunny:yeah
Vanessa:one of the tents where you saw ed sheeran yeah same
Vanessa:tent, so there's like a little rose garden on the side where you can watch from, but it's not a good view. You can't hear that great. Honestly, to me, the rhinestone saloon pass was not worth it. It was not worth a thousand dollars. Save your money. You get better views from anywhere else. To be honest, okay, if you want to go big, get a corral pass and not just the rhinestone saloon. Um, after whiskey myers, we saw carly pierce, who's pretty good. Um, and then brothers osborne, which was surprisingly very good. They have a lot of poppy country songs which we're not that into, but they have some good ones and they actually blew us away. They were so good and they brought out your girl, kate Hudson.
Sunny:Katie Hudson.
Vanessa:Katie Hudson.
Vanessa:And she sounded great. I mean, you're the one that told me that she sang and that she was on one of the lineups. Was it Coachella?
Sunny:Bottle Rock.
Vanessa:Bottle Rock, bottle Rock and yeah, and then they brought her out and we heard her. She did really good, nice. And then the headliner was Zach Bryan, who I love his music. I didn't realize this, but he played like 30 songs. He did like a two-hour set, and what was crazy, though, is he like left. He was done, completely done. Lights went up, everyone was leaving and literally like five to seven minutes.
Vanessa:It was a long time. Everyone thought he was done, everyone was leaving and then all of a sudden you hear the music start up again or something's happening and like everybody's rushing back, which I guess we should have known, because he always ends with this song called revival and he hadn't played it. So we're like holy shit. So then everyone was like basically out the thing already, so I was running back oh for the song, and we stayed for like what we thought was the full song and maybe a couple repeats of the chorus, and then we left the whole walk out. He's repeating the chorus over and over again, which when I saw him in oakland he did the same thing. He used that song to introduce his band. So he would talk about a band member repeat the chorus, another band member repeat the chorus. It's a good song to do that to, but it felt like he was just like I'm just gonna keep going until somebody kicks me off this stage,
Clark:that's pretty badass.
Vanessa:Maybe like 20 minutes of this song, like so long. I remember we were just laughing every time he started it over.
Clark:Yeah, I mean the song is called revival.
Vanessa:Yeah, right.
Vanessa:The lyrics are we're having an all-night revival, so just like all night long. So on our way out well, t-pain was supposed to be after that, but we were so tired. But we did see joe dreamz, who is literally just this rapper that was standing on a five gallon bucket or something on the little road to like walk out of the festival and he was rapping at us, for I don't know how to explain this. It was so funny because his little rap spiel was so short that we heard it so many times, like walking up to him and then past like away from him because he'd be like hey, you with the shoes, are you living, joe dreamz?
Vanessa:he'd be like when I say joe, you say dreams, joe dreams. And then he'd go and don't forget the z, and then he'd repeat that over and over again at first we were like making fun of him, but then like all fucking weekend it was stuck in our heads. Yeah, that it's like such a big inside joke now between us and our friends that like we looked up his merch and we want to like buy shirts and send it to our friends.
Clark:Yes,
Sunny:oh my gosh.
Sunny:There you go.
Clark:Are you living Joe dreamz, are you?
Vanessa:living Joe dreams. Every once in a while we'll just text each other and say hey, yo, are you living. Joe dreams
Sunny:it worked
Vanessa:yeah, it worked. He's killing it, so that was friday, let's see. But I also just want to say before I forget it's a known fact that country people love to drink. Stagecoach sells more alcohol in one day than Coachella does in both weekends combined.
Sunny:I don't know if I believe that.
Vanessa:Can you believe that? it sounds crazy, but it makes sense because there's such a connection between country music and drinking beer. I'm sure everyone has at least like six to ten beers, whereas like I don't remember ever really getting beers at coachella. At coachella most people do other recreational activities.
Clark:People are doing the laundry list of all the other party favors you could be doing at a festival at coachella yeah,
Vanessa:stagecoach is not really the place to do them that.
Vanessa:So people just drink. Not that that's any better, it's just legal. But that's not any better for your body. It is a crazy fact and I totally believe it. It comes out that's not true at all, but it makes sense I mean I can name like 10 country songs right now that have the word beer in it
Sunny:we read it somewhere, so it's true
Vanessa:yeah, I mean luke combs, freaking, shotgunned a beer on stage.
Vanessa:So it must be true.
Sunny:It must be true All right On to Saturday Saturday Saturday.
Vanessa:I did not eat any food inside, but I had a big breakfast and lunch Okay. Saturday. We went in a little later than normal, so not quite as late as you. We went with people that do music festivals a little bit differently, and that's okay yeah they like to go in a little later.
Vanessa:We went in for dylan gossett, who I think he was on american idol, but we only got to see the last song. And then Shaboozey was the first full set that we saw, but he was also at coachella and we watched his live stream
Sunny:was it the same set? Or was it different?
Vanessa:No, it was well. I'm sure the songs were the same
Sunny:yeah
Vanessa:but it was a whole different thing. He had like a whole like game show set bit thing at coachella, which he did not do at stagecoach oh but he was good.
Vanessa:And then Koe Wetzel we saw at the tent which was so annoying. I'm gonna complain a little bit now. But, stagecoach, they cut a lot of the section from Coachella. They make the grounds a little smaller because they totally cut out the Sahara tent, like that's not even part of the inside grounds, which I feel like it kind of should be, because I know it's not as large as Coachella but it it's like 80,000 versus 125,000, which is a big difference. But 80,000 people is still a lot of freaking people.
Sunny:Yeah,
Vanessa:they should either open it up or make the second largest stage not a tent. It needs to be an outdoor stage because there's so many people and at the Palomino stage if you're not in the tent, it sucks. You can't see anything.
Clark:It's like not worth it.
Vanessa:Yeah, it's totally not worth it. And then the people that are outside are in a walk path. So like it's so annoying to not be inside because people are just walking by.
Vanessa:You know,
Sunny:I didn't make that point enough last time at Sheeran. It's dangerous.
Vanessa:It's dangerous yeah.
Sunny:To have that many people at such a small stage,
Vanessa:and they did have a screen outside with speakers, but it's just not the same because you're constantly like moving for people walking by. That's my biggest complaint about stagecoach. Anyways,
Sunny:anyways, um, I digress.
Vanessa:I just think if they're going to combine two stages from coachella for one stage at stagecoach, the second one needs to be bigger too. Yeah, I told you how they set up the main one.
Vanessa:If you're looking at the main stage in the outdoor theater at coachella, do a 90 degree turn to your right and now you're facing the main stage at stagecoach, yeah and then they have the little palomino stage for fucking backstreet boys, like that's so dumb
Clark:yeah, and it seems like how they organize the corral stuff and everything for the main stage.
Clark:That's like well thought out and organized
Vanessa:it is, but that's also annoying as fuck because they have a thousand tier pricing for like all the different corrals, yeah sections. Like just have one vip although I guess I shouldn't talk because I've never been in there and maybe it is nicely set up, I don't know
Sunny:I love the sitting with the blanket, though
Vanessa:yeah, so behind the corral areas they have the ga standing room only, so there's no chairs or blankets allowed there, even just to like sit down.
Vanessa:We didn't have blankets or chairs, but we sat down and they were like no people were coming around me like you need to stand up, I was like okay so then, they have like a fence where you can like dot. Behind that fence you can put all your chairs and blankets and stuff. After Koe Wetzel we saw oh, he brought out jesse murph, which was cool because we love her. Then we saw ashley mcbride she sounded great. Nelly was cool, but again we saw him from the outside of the tent yeah so
Sunny:rough.
Vanessa:It was a little rough. And then sturgill simpson we saw at the main stage and he was amazing. He was jamming out a lot. I know you guys watched it from home and you really liked it
Sunny:yeah, I was so
Clark:yeah, we were blown away
Vanessa:I also find him very handsome, sorry ed but I liked looking at him um, and then jelly roll.
Vanessa:Jelly Roll was the highlight of the day. His shows are always just so like emotional and like spiritual and like, yeah, I don't know, amazing experience, but he brought out so many people too. I wish he would have done, like, more of his own songs, but he brought out Machine Gun, kelly Shaboozy, jessie Murph, wiz Khalifa, brandon Lake, big X, the Plug, alex Warren, and then Lana Del Rey and his wife for a little bit, but all these freaking people anyways. Um, he did his last song with Lana Del Rey, which normally that's Lainey Wilson, and I felt like the sound was off. Maybe they couldn't hear each other and so their harmonies were off.
Vanessa:I don't know, it just sounded off to me
Sunny:probably was
Clark:when we were watching the live stream, there were some sound yeah, on a couple different things
Sunny:I'm sure the wind was a constant battle for everything.
Vanessa:Well, and it was raining on stage for him. And then that night creed was playing, which I'm a little sad that we didn't get to see, but I did hear them from far away as we were walking out. They sounded great. I think they're gonna be at shoreline like in the next couple months and I kind of want to go. But saturday was fun. I got to see one of my friends from college shout out to ari literally just like a high and bye, but it was nice to see her. That was my saturday. Nice questions?
Vanessa:Comments? Concerns?
Sunny:do you think you would have stayed later if you were camping?
Vanessa:yeah, I would have liked to have seen t-pain.
Vanessa:I mean, I know we've seen him yeah but I mean, I was also fine with leaving. I was tired, I feel, and then also like the ubers to get out of there right as a nightmare, although I didn't mention this, but the first day where we got dropped off, the walk in from the ride share was like a fucking mile. And then we found another entrance which was like the family and friends entrance or something, on another side of the festival and that seemed almost the same to me but it was shorter yeah so then we just used that one.
Vanessa:But yeah, I mean, getting out of there is a nightmare. The first day we had to walk all the way to the ride aid like another 0.6 miles out from walking a mile just to get picked up by an uber.
Clark:That's rough.
Vanessa:Just the way your mother likes it, trebek
Clark:just just the way your mother likes it.
Clark:Trebek,
Vanessa:sorry
Clark:I'll take Swords for 100, trebek, that's.
Clark:S words.
Vanessa:We watched that skit. We watched that SNL skit at Stagecoach after the last day
Clark:there's so many,
Sunny:so day three.
Vanessa:Day three was Sunday, obviously, and we went in for Chayce Beckham, which we didn't see his whole set, but we did get to see our favorite song called 23. After that was Treaty Oak Revival, which we also saw from the Rose Garden. At the Palomino stage we saw Tracy Lawrence, which was really cool. He's like a legendary act, I guess, because he was like one of the first people that I listened to when I first started getting into country, like back in middle school, find Out who your Friends Are was like one of my favorite songs.
Vanessa:That's one of his.
Clark:That's a good song name.
Vanessa:Yeah, and then we saw Scotty McCreery.
Sunny:We watched that. Yeah,
Clark:he sounded incredible
Sunny:yeah.
Sunny:Perfect.
Vanessa:Was it in high school? I don't know when. Must have been I remember watching his season of American Idol at Sunny's house.
Clark:He's pretty close to our age.
Vanessa:When he was yeah, when he was against Lauren Alaina.
Sunny:Yeah.
Vanessa:We would watch that at your house all the time.
Sunny:Oh yeah, Lauren.
Sunny:Alaina, I forgot about her too, yeah.
Vanessa:And then next was Goo Goo Dolls, which we saw from the freaking tent, but we were outside. But I also ran into a couple other friends from college, so I was mostly socializing. And then at the main stage was Flatland, calvary, midland. Midland was a nice surprise. They're really good musicians. They brought out Noah Cyrus, which was, I thought a little random Mackenzie Carpenter, and they also brought out Tracy Lawrence and Marcus King.
Clark:Was Noah Cyrus just hanging out for both weekends? Because Shaboosie brought out Noah Cyrus too
Vanessa:For Coachella yeah.
Vanessa:Yeah. So I said he brought out Marcus King. And then for some reason he had luke wilson up on stage too, like a whole slew of celebrities. I feel like at one point he had a whole posse in the back
Clark:uh, midland,
Vanessa:midland, yeah, yeah, I swear
Clark:they had this giant bar counter.
Clark:Yeah, we saw that
Vanessa:he mentioned ashton kutcher too yeah,
Clark:everybody was there and we're like it's a lot of big stars um
Sunny:I thought it was like their family.
Vanessa:I think it was maybe mostly, and then, like some celebrities, there was some celebrities there.
Sunny:Oh, this is cute yeah.
Vanessa:And then Luke Combs. I'm so excited that I get to see him with you guys too, at Austin City Limits. But I used to be obsessed with him and I forgot how much I loved him. But as soon as he started singing, his voice was so good I was almost in tears, like singing every song, and we had made a plan to leave him early to get a good spot for backstreet boys. But I was like me and maddie were like we don't want to leave oh yeah but we did.
Vanessa:We had to leave to get a good
Clark:you pulled yourself to
Sunny:You stuck to the plan
Vanessa:yeah
Vanessa:, well, ed was also like I have to pee, so he like left you're like okay, I guess we have to go after him but it was great because then we went to backstreet boys at the freaking palomino stage.
Vanessa:We were like 10th row. We got good spots right in front of one of the screens too, so that was amazing. Literally the entire time my jaw was on the floor, obviously opened with backstreet's back, which was incredible. I remember seeing a video online that was like this crowd looks whack. No sir, trust me the entire crowd.
Vanessa:Everyone around me was fucking mind blown I was remember looking up on stage being like holy shit, what the fuck. And this girl next to me was like seriously, what the fuck is happening
Sunny:so much fun
Vanessa:yeah they were just killing it their dance moves, I think at second song I turned around to ed and I was like they don't have to go so hard, they're old,
Sunny:take it easy
Vanessa:I was like how do they look better than when they were 20? And ed was like they've been practicing for 32 years yeah, you're right they were incredible.
Vanessa:And then ed's best friend, who was part of the other couple that we went with, is like obsessed with Backstreet Boys, so he was also having the time of his life and his wife just kept looking up at him, like taking videos.
Sunny:Oh, that's so cute.
Vanessa:His best friend texted him that morning and was like Happy Backstreet Boys day,
Clark:that's so good.
Vanessa:It was hilarious.
Sunny:When I first saw the lineup for Stagecoach and that they had T-Pain, creed and Backstreet Boys, I was kind of like what?
Sunny:But hearing you talk about it for some reason, it's just like oh, this makes sense Somehow ending the night with those artists you know like makes sense
Vanessa:I'm so sad I didn't even step foot in diplo's honky tonk, which is also a bunch of artists that are not country, like soffi tucker, who we love, didn't get to see her freaking. Paris hilton was there?
Vanessa:chromeo
Sunny:you didn't get to see it, but clark and I did,
Clark:we did.
Vanessa:I'm glad you guys did yeah the end of the night was the best ending to the whole weekend ever. We had an uber driver pick us up. That was the same uber driver that picked us up the night before and he had this little like light scroll digital thing on his dash and it said maddie's vip party on it, so like I didn't realize when we, when I was getting in the car that it was the same guy that picked us up the night before.
Vanessa:Oh so it was like the nicest surprise. He was so nice, he texted Maddie that he was in the parking lot and asked if we needed a ride as we were walking out. Oh perfect, there's led light strips all over the inside of his car, different colors. He's blasting Backstreet Boys and then it's this guy and I'm like this is the greatest night of my life, after having like the most life-changing experience at backstreet boys. I remember walking out and some random guy was talking shit and I was like, did we just not see the same thing?
Vanessa:I was like that was life-changing.
Vanessa:What are you talking about?
Sunny:yeah,
Vanessa:I was like shut up, don't even talk to me right now.
Sunny:They were outside the tent
Vanessa:this is when, yeah, exactly, this was maybe right before I called you on facetime and I was just like giggling, laughing so hard.
Vanessa:I was just like.
Vanessa:I'm having too much fun.
Clark:And we were about to watch the stream.
Sunny:We were watching it and I was like I want to watch the stream now. Vanessa,
Vanessa:you could have just told me.
Sunny:But I didn't want to hang up on you. No, it was also fun seeing you so happy.
Clark:Yeah, seeing you geeking out about it was so cute
Sunny:with the lyft thing. Vanessa and I used to drive for lyft or uber, so when we get into a lyft or uber, that has gone the extra. Yeah, you know, we really like appreciate it.
Vanessa:Yeah, okay back to this guy
Sunny:oh, yeah, sorry,
Vanessa:he like had cold drinks in the back for us. He was like help yourself. It literally felt like a best friend of ours was picking us up. Same sense sense of humor. It was awesome. And, Ed's best friend John, he does not like Nickelback and he had been talking. Nickelback was there the year before and this guy goes every other year, so he was like I go every other year. Last year I saw Nickelback.
Vanessa:John was like don't even talk to me about Nickelback. So he fucking changed the scrolling screen on the front of the car to say nickelback lover in the front seat
Clark:that's so funny
Vanessa:we got a video of it once we got out of the car
Sunny:that is hilarious,
Vanessa:yeah this guy was sick. Actually next year he's gonna be there literally we.
Vanessa:He gave us his car. I was like you're gonna be our guy every year. Next year we're gonna party with you because you're actually gonna go. We invited him over. I was like come have beers with us. He was like if you're still up in two hours, I'm so down. I was like we probably won't be
Clark:we gonna be dead
Vanessa:but yeah, that was my stage coach. It was really fun pros and cons.
Vanessa:I already talked about the Palomino stage tent but also I wish I had done a little bit more research because the Bacon Brothers were on there and I just like didn't even think to look up who they are, but it was fucking kevin bacon and his brother and they performed and then they like did footloose. I was like I was today years old when I found that out and it's june 5th oh, because I was like doing some research and I was like, wait a minute, what the fuck did that just say kevin bacon?
Vanessa:I sent it to ed. I was like doing some research and I was like, wait a minute, what the fuck did that just say Kevin Bacon? I sent it to Ed. I was like we missed Kevin Bacon doing Footloose. How?
Vanessa:did we miss that?
Sunny:Oh man, that kind of hurts me a little bit,
Vanessa:I know, and they were on at like 3.
Vanessa:It was pretty recently when I found out that he was in the original Footloose too
Clark:what do you mean?
Clark:he's like the main character.
Vanessa:I know, but I've only seen the one with
Clark:you, haven't you?
Clark:hadn't seen the original footloose you're crazy,
Vanessa:I know
Clark:you're crazy.
Vanessa:I know I live under a rock when it comes to movies.
Clark:I just can't believe ed hasn't made you watch that movie
Vanessa:he hasn't yet
Clark:it's a good movie
Vanessa:well, there's so many movies that like, trust me, we have a list of the movies that I haven't seen, which is all, all of them, and we're slowly getting through them.
Clark:At least you know Sunny would watch a whole movie and be like three quarters in. She's like you know what I've seen this. I'm like what do you mean? Now, you know, you've seen it. Are you kidding me? It's like, yeah, you have, we're three quarters way through. You've seen this movie.
Vanessa:Oh my God, so I do that all the time too. I'll be like, oh, that's the one from whatever, and Ed's like, yeah, they're a working actor.
Vanessa:I'm like fuck you,
Clark:that's funny
Sunny:Is there, anyone else that you missed because you didn't do your homework?
Vanessa:I don't even want to know. Okay, I'm sure there was one. Oh, I didn't get to go to Guy Fieri smokehouse I wish that I would have gone in early one day and like explored more, or like gone to Diplo's honky tonk I don't know that. I would go back to this one specifically.
Sunny:I was going to ask you that,
Vanessa:yeah, unless they changed their setup a little bit or I bought the freaking most expensive pass they have
Sunny:unless you get sponsored
Vanessa:yeah, or it's full free, but overall it was a good weekend
Sunny:yeah
Clark:awesome
Vanessa:snaps, alright festies, but overall it was a good weekend.
Vanessa:Yeah, awesome, all right festies.
Vanessa:Sunny's Festival Corner.
Sunny:I can never not laugh. July 12th to the 13th we have Mosswood Meltdown. This is a local festival for us. It's in Oakland, california. John Waters will be hosting it. It's his 11th year hosting CBS. Bay Area said that this festival is one of the most entertaining two-day celebrations of punk in the Bay Area. Headliners are Devo and Bratmobile.
Clark:Bratmobile is a dope band name.
Sunny:Other artists Prison Affair, who we saw at Coachella, Kreayshawn and La Luz. Something different about this festival is it's one of those that takes place at different venues, kind of like Noisepop. So it's at the Knockout in San Francisco, eli's Mile High Club and B Stork Club. July 17th to the 19th we have Beaver Island Music Festival in Beaver Island, michigan. This festival was founded in 2003, and their mission is to make music in the woods. It's a non-profit and they encourage community and family involvement in an outdoor environment. Performers are Carver Commodore, the Whiskey Charmers and Distant Stars. July 26th we have Day Trip Festival. I love that name. It's in Seattle, washington. It's house music all day long. This is hosted by Insomniac and it's 21Up Performers Chris Lake, gorgon City and Max Styler.
Clark:Nice.
Vanessa:It's a good one,
Sunny:yeah right, just one day, though. That's it for Sunny's Festival Corner. Close us out.
Sunny:Vanessa,
Vanessa:all right festies. You know what to do. Check us out on Instagram fest, check us out on Instagram tick-tock and YouTube at @festies podcast, and leave us a rating and review wherever you listen to us and we'll catch you on the next one.
Vanessa:bye
Clark:slide in those DMs.
Vanessa:Yes, please, we love it.
Sunny:Please do
